Physics is the branch of [[science]] that endeavors to study the laws that describe the world. A scientist that studies physics is called a [[physicist]].
Physics is the study of motion. Galileo was the first to propose some of the fundimental laws of physics that we still use today. He began by studying how a ball will roll down and incline and showed that it's speed would be proportional to the hight it started at.
