He wrote a chronicle in Greek of all the [[pharaoh]]s of Egypt, which only survives in quotations from later writers ([[Josephus]], [[Julius Africanus]], and [[Eusebius]]).  He wrote of all of the rulers from [[Menes]] to [[Artaxerxes III]] breaking them down into 30 dynasties.  His chronology is inaccurate and exaggerated based upon other sources, but his dynasty structure is still used today.<ref>An Encyclopedia of World History, Houghton Mifflin Company, 1948, Pg. 23</ref>
