I am a user on Conservapedia. I am, in fact a liberal, and I would just like to point out that on the liberal page, a lot of the things that I read were in fact true. I am still a minor, so don't be too hard on me. After coming to Conservapedia, I have learned a lot however.

Basic View Of God

I think that God is absolutly awesome. However, I also think that I should not force God upon anyone in order to get them to convert. Ferthermore, I think that we use God as a concept to measure our pain. For example (here is a classic), praying to God before a test that we did not study for in hopes of doing well. Then, we simply do not pray to God again until the next test. That bugs me.

Basic View Of The Bible

It is a good book. It's a great read. However, I also think that things should be taken in there contextually. For instance, I belive in the theory of evolution because creationism believes that the earth has been around for 6,000 years. However, they have found fossils that are 3.5 billion years old of humans with ape-like characteristics.

Although I do believe that a lot of the things in the bible are true (such as Jesus being the savior of man (I am, after all, a Catholic)), I also think that it should be read contextually. This is what was tought in my theology class and in my biology class, we are learning about evolution.

Basic View Of The United States

Great place to live. I love this country (and I'm not just saying that because I know that I will get a lot of complaints that I am anti-American because I am a liberal). However, I think that there are problems with this country as well. For instance, we are currently fighting a war. However, a few years ago, Congress was talking about same-sex marrage. Now, I have no problem with couples of the same-sex getting married, however, there is a war going on, and, before we focus on red herrings such as that, we should focus on rebuilding the country we have destroyed and getting our troops home safely.

About Last Week's Question

Last week's question was "Is George W. Bush a great presedent?" We came down to the conclusion that Bush is a good president for the way that he has handled things such as Same-Sex Marrage and the Iraq War.
