Hmmm, I don't see why that was flagged as an error. If he lost $40, and makes $8/hour, it will take anywhere between 5 and 6 hours to re-earn that money, depending on the tax rate. Say that about 9% is removed from every paycheck in taxes, then, the person would need to work 5.5 hours, and earn 44 dollars, and lose about $4 to taxes, earning a net of $40. So...I don't see why your post was wrong, but maybe just say a little more than 5 hours or a little less than 6 hours. Or, perhaps that user did not see that you mentioned "after taxes" in your statement, and thinks that the person would only have to work 5 hours at $8/hour to re-earn the $40. I hope this helps.
