McCain has been married twice.  His first marriage, to Carol Shepp, ended in [[divorce]] in 1980.  His second and current wife is Cindy Lou Hensley, to whom he has been married for 28 years.  His son John Sidney IV is a Midshipman at the [[United States Naval Academy]], Annapolis, and his son James is a non-commissioned officer in the [[United States Marine Corps]], who is serving in [[Iraq]] as part of [[Operation Iraqi Freedom]].
