Eye-glasses, spectacles or simply glasses are lenses mounted in a frame worn in front of eyes to improve vision. They are made in a huge variety of configurations to compensate for both short sightedness and long sightedness as well as astigmatisms. Alternatives to them include contact lenses and corrective surgery.
