A Community college is a type of educational institution that is geared towards local students with different needs. As of January 2008 11.5 million students are enrolled in Community Colleges. [1] Recently some of them have been offering bachelor's degree's, such as Central Florida Community College. [2] They typically have smaller classes and libraries then University's. Community colleges are governed by a board of trustees, and they then select a president or chancellor to lead the factuality. They are sometimes referred to as "Junior colleges."
