"The Gambia" is the correct name. officially the Republic of The Gambia. This is a C&P from Wiki. Do we have a template for that?

Are you sure? A lot of our country articles are retrieved from the CIA world factbook which being a US government agency is public domain. The template on the page mentions that fact. BrianCo 17:40, 30 October 2008 (EDT)

I just looked at this https://www.cia.gov/library/publications/the-world-factbook/geos/ga.html, which is quite different (though the info is the same) from "our page". But our page is identical in many paragraphs to wikipedia. thanks.--JeanJacques 17:49, 30 October 2008 (EDT)

I looked at the history of this article before I added information from the US State Department. The introductory line matches Wikipedia's almost to a letter, so that needs to be re-written. The rest is OK unless someone wants to insert better material. Karajou 17:51, 30 October 2008 (EDT)
