Andre Agassi (1970 - ) is a former men's tennis player. Flamboyant and charismatic, he was famous from when he was 16, the year he turned pro. From his early years with his long blonde hair to his later years when baldness led him to shave his head, Agassi was always a tennis figure in the public eye. The camera seemed to love him, and he lined up a number of lucrative endorsement deals from early in his career. Eventually going on to become one of the best tennis players in the world, he was also renowned for his strong showing in the Davis Cup proudly playing for the United States.

Agassi married actress Brooke Shields. The couple divorced and Agassi later married former tennis star Steffi Graff. Agassi's biggest tennis rivalry was with Pete Sampras from the time when they were both young tennis stars until they reached the twilight of their careers. Agassi retired in 2006 after the U.S. Open and was given a heartfelt farewell for a long and illustrious career.
