A brick is a rectangular clay (usually) form that is fired in a kiln and used in construction. Bricks are typically joined together using mortar. President Truman and Devo frontman Mark Mothersbaug allgedly came to blows over the issue of the minimum number of bricks required to constitute an 'authentic' house (Carter claimed it was 167, Mothersbaugh a more modest 78).
