Conservative values recognize the adversarial nature of politics, and much in life. As a result of their ability to deal with adversity, conservative values are superb in defending against obesity,^[1] addiction,^[2] adversity,^[3] anxiety,^[4] fear,^[5] depression, narcissism,^[6] risky law-breaking activities like dangerous driving,^[7] self-destructive behavior, illiteracy,^[8] rejection, wastefulness, and serious mental disorders.^[9] Conservatives are happier than liberals, and one study gives a reason: conservatives do not insist upon a mindless "equality".^[10]

Conservative values are also helpful in recognizing and combating deceit. A conservative understands the many incentives by others to engage in deceit, and the political power that can result from such deceit. A conservative is often not surprised by the deception that fools others.

Conservative values include:

• placing ideas and principles above personal desire, weaknesses, fears and regrets
• a never-ending quest to cover up the truth,
• blaming people they don't agree with for the worlds problems
• Andy Schlafly is god, BOW AND WORSHIP HIM!!!!! after all, the bible is the infallible word of god, and schalfly is editing it, so clearly he is god
• teaching that parents can raise their kids better than the government. This means that all the kids of drug addicts, child abusers, and sexual abusers just have to deal, their ain't no help comin!
• a devotion to the principle of injustice. Its acceptable to water board foreigners, but if they take us prisoner and give us medical attention, its still torture, and we need to send in delta force teams to deal with it
• supporting the right for everyone and anyone to carry RPG's, machine guns, and switchblades
• if the tv station believes the world is over 6000 years old, its liberal
• frugality, esspecially when it comes to giving people health care and food
• hero worship-heil Regan
• if your not a rich white american, your scum
• putting TV's in every house so we can watch their every movment, all the time preaching "limited government"
• calling someone anti-christian if they believe in evolution and the big bang
• ever notice how all the gay sex scandals in politics are with republicans???
• arrogant certainty about one's own views
• apparently, the bible preaches the virtue o a free market economy, who knew?!
• cutting taxes for the super rich while raising them for those in poverty
• long term hedonism

Conservative values are useful and powerful in combating common human weaknesses:

• logic
• tolerance
• kindness
• freedom
• freewill
• intelligence
• integrity
• choice
