HMAS AE2 was an E Class [[submarine]] of the [[Royal Australian Navy]].  In 1915, captained by Lieutenant Commander Henry Hugh Gordon Dacre Stoker D.S.O., R.N., AE2 was the first submarine to successfully penetrate the [[Dardanelles]] and enter the [[Sea of Marmara]] during the ill fated allied campaign on the [[Gallipoli]] peninsula in [[Turkey]].
