The sugar and stamp acts are pretty self-explanatory. However the Quartering Act of May 1765 required that colonist must supply British troops housing and other items of necessity. The colonists protested in assemblies however most were punished for, failure to comply. By this time the colonies were ready for a revolution. The Prohibitory Act of December 22, 1775 lit the fuse. The act struck Americans economy by forbidding trade with any other country besides Britain. It was also shortly after this act that Patrick Henry said his famous words, “Give me Liberty or Give me Death!”

'''''H3. "All political issues are actually economic issues." Discuss this in the context of the conflicts leading up to the Revolutionary War, with reference to at least one specific dispute. '''''

Money does find its way into all political issues. Every conflict leading up to the American Revolution was entangled with money in some way shape or form. The greatest conflict erupted after the French and Indian war. The enormous debt resulted in numerous taxes like the Tea act.

'''''H4. Identify two similarities, and two differences, between the cultures of colonial America and England around 1770.'''''

A colossal difference was the fact that previous to 1763 the American colonies had been subjected to salutary neglect. While England civilians were always held by a strict set of laws and regulations. Following the French and Indian war rules and regulations were being enforced upon the colonies in an abrupt manner. The way in which the colonies economy worked was through the sale of raw materials while England’s was largely through selling the raw materials as a perfected finished product. The difference here is that the colonies acquired these raw materials through the use of slaves. The population of slaves in the colonies was enormous compared to that of England’s. However the colonies and those living in England were subjected to the King. Both cultures also did not consider women to be of much worth.

'''Do you think a jury should be able to ignore the law in order to find a defendant "not guilty?"'''
 +

The power of the jury should definitely be upheld. Their ability to make a decision as a team is a right, we the people deserve. The possibility of bribery still is at hand however it is still much harder to bribe a whole jury rather than a single judge. The jury plays a very important role in America’s justice system and their ability to nullify the law is essential.
