NFL Career
Logan Mankins was drafted by the New England Patriots in the first round of the 2005 NFL Draft. In his rookie season he started all 16 of the regular season games at guard. The last time a Patriots rookie started all 16 games of a season at guard was in 1973 when Hall of Famer John Hannah did it. In week six of the NFL regular season in a game vs the Denver Broncos he was ejected for a punching a Broncos player on the final play of the first half..... In 2006 Mankins once again started all 16 games for the Patriots. Thought by many to be worthy of a Pro Bowl spot some awards and honors he received in 2006 include being chosen to the Dr. Z's Sports Illustrated.com All-Pro and the USA Today's All-Joe Team.
