Software

Software is the name given to computer code that compiles to form a program able to perform complex operations. Software is differentiated from hardware, which is a physical computer attribute, such as a monitor or hard drive. The most commonly used software is Microsoft Office,[Citation Needed] used in most business environments in the United States. There are many different types of software, ranging from such productivity-based software, to video games.
