Platform, in politics, refers to a party's core beliefs and stances on various issues. Each individual issue mentioned in a platform is called a plank.
Platform, in gaming, refers to an action genre where the player must navigate his way through a series of obstacles and suspended platforms in order to reach the goal. Sometimes, this genre also called a platformer.
