Lend-Lease Act

The Lend-Lease Act was a congressional act that allowed the President to send arms and other war supplies to any country deemed necessary to the defense of the United States. President Roosevelt persuaded Congress to pass this act in 1941. The Lend-Lease program was ended in 1945.
