Shigeru Miyamoto (born November 16, 1952) (age 73) is a video game designer and employee of Nintendo. He created Donkey Kong, Mario, The Legend of Zelda, and Pikmin. He is largely considered the most influential figure in the video game industry, having created the platformer game with Donkey Kong, further innovating this idea by creating the side-scroller with Super Mario Bros. Most, if not all of the games he has created are family friendly and contain no explicit violence or sex.
