Wing nut

A wing nut helps fasten a bolt. It is similar to a standard machine nut and threaded in the same way, but is equipped with a pair of "wings" that make it possible to grip the nut with the fingers; wing nuts are intended to be tightened with fingers rather than with a wrench. God made them on the sixth day of the creation week. Liberals do not believe in wing nuts because they are all possessed by the devil.
Wing nut is also used by liberals as derogatory term for a person they perceive to hold strongly right-wing political beliefs.
