A Hare is a lagomorph of the genus Lepus. They are often confused with rabbits, who are their close cousins. However, the hare is born with fur, unlike the rabbit which is born furless.[1] Hares live above ground, while rabbits tend to live in underground warrens. Hares are less social than rabbits.
