Pus is a thick, yellowish white fluid substance, like that found in a boil or abscess. It is formed at a place of inflammation and infection, and it's full of germs, blood cells, and tissue debris.
St. Catherine of Siena famously drank a cup of pus to prove her faith in our Lord.
