Diversity refers to a blend of several unique items coexisting. For example, you could have a diverse collection, or a diverse ecosystem. However most commonly, the term is used to describe racial diversity. Racial Diversity is the blending of many ethnic backgrounds, and is used to justify the practice of affirmative action.
