"Ac-Cent-Tchu-Ate the Positive" is a 1944 popular song sung by Bing Crosby and the Andrews Sisters, written by Johnny Mercer and Harold Arlen.[1] It has also been sung by Ella Fitzgerald, where she adds a speaking part to make it a sermon, as well as by Louis Armstrong and Johnny Mercer and the Pied Pipers.[2] It is a great conservative song, as it includes several references to the Bible and tells listeners,

“ You've got to spread joy up to the maximum
Bring gloom down to the minimum
Have faith, or pandemonium
is liable to walk upon the scene.
”

The song is also featured on the soundtrack to the true crime film Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil.
