Baklava

Baklava is a famous pastry of Turkish origin, also enjoyed in Greece, Israel and various Middle Eastern countries. It is also found wherever there are large populations of Greek or Middle Eastern people, such as America or Australia.

Baklava is made from layers of paper-thin dough, called phyllo, with a filling of nuts, usually walnuts or pistachios. It is usually served coated in honey.
