Henri II

King Henry II (1519 - 1559) was King of France from 1547 until 1559. He appeared to have enjoyed jousting, this unfortunately led to his death at the age of 40 in 1559. This came during a celebration of the treaty of Cateau-Cambresis. He was succeeded by his weak sons (Francis II, Charles IX, Henry III) however Charles IX was believed to be mentally mad.
