The Pennine Hills are a range of Hills running up the centre of England from the North Midlands up to the Scottish Border. As such, they are referred to as the 'backbone of Britain'. The Hills are home to two [[National Park]]s, the [[Peak District]] (Largely in [[Derbyshire]]) and the [[Yorkshire Dales]] in [[Yorkshire]]. The highest hill in the range is [[Kinder Scout]], in Derbyshire which is 2088ft (636m) above sea level.
