He is one of the most embarrassing German politicians ever and was forced by Angela Merkel to leave his position as Ministerpräsident of Baden-Württemberg and get a meaningless position in the EU. Oettinger left his state to be governed by the second most embarrassing German politician ever, Stefan "Fettsack" Mappus. Mappus was a complete disaster and manage to lose Baden-Württemberg to the Greens after 63 years of conservative rule.
