Pirates of the Caribbean is a franchise of fantasy/adventure [[films]], starring [[Jonny Depp]] as captain Jack Sparrow, a [[pirate]] whom is on the run from the British navy and the east India trading company. There are a total of four films in the series (Curse of the Black Pearl, Dead Man's Chest, At world's end and On stranger tides.) It was well known for it's special effects, such as the [[CGI]] used for [[Davy Jones]]. These effects were so convincing, they fooled two movie review magazines into thinking it was some sort of prosthetic effect.
