Because of its bias against conservative Christian athletes, the [[lamestream media]] do not give him the credit he deserves, refusing to give him the publicity that the media give to [[Overrated Sports Stars]] like [[Kobe Bryant]] and [[LeBron James]].  This is despite how Kevin Durant was the leading scorer on the gold-medal-winning [[Team USA]] [[2012 Summer Olympics]] basketball team in 2012, and also won Rookie of the Year in 2008, first-team All-NBA four times (2010-2013), and NBA All-Star Game MVP (2012), which are all awards decided by the media. Yet the media do not promote the outspokenly Christian Durant 1/10th as much as they promote LeBron James and Kobe Bryant.

Durant won the NBA's Rookie of the Year award in 2008, has been named All-NBA four times (2010-2013), and was voted the NBA All-Star Game MVP in 2012.
