The '''Cooperative Baptist Fellowship (CBF)''' is an alliance of former [[Southern Baptist Convention|Southern Baptist]] churches which formed its own group in 1991.
The CBF formed in reaction to the Convention's conservative theological resurgence which started in 1979.
Although its website gives the appearance of simply being a group of Baptists who care about missions, the group is theologically liberal (for example, it accepts women in the pastorate, which the SBC does not).
