The ''Chronicles of Narnia'' are a series of seven books written by [[C.S. Lewis]].  These books were written as a mythological retelling of the Bible and published yearly from 1950 to 1956.  [[The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe]] was written based on the Gospels, [[The Magician's Nephew]] is a telling of Genesis, and [[The Last Battle]] as a telling of Revelations.

The books were renumbered in recent years to reflect the passage of time in the stories. Thus ''The Magician's Nephew'' now comes first.
