|This old-school stylized superhero film may not only be one of DC's best, but its very conservative. The movie is quite-pro family with the main character; Billy Batson, realizing end that family is what matters most, and even claims “If a superhero can’t save his family, then he’s not much of a superhero.” Also it is pro-Christianity, with the family saying Grace and thanking  and showing gratitude towards the lord for their meal (which is very rare for a superhero movie). As well the villain being a nihilistic leading the demons of the seven deadly sins. In addition there is a small anti-alcoholism message with the characters taking a sip of alcohol for the first time, and then spitting it out, only to return the rest of it, and buy candy and soda instead.
