In recent broadcasts, Griffon has called for the defeat in 2019 of Governor John Bel Edwards and has long predicted that Edwards will be a one-term governor though neither of two current Republican opponents, [[Eddie Rispone]] and [[Ralph Abraham]], has taken the lead in the race.
