It ends up doubling down on the feminist rhetoric from the original, implies big government is good, and is particularly infamous for being a blatant example of Disney's current management's hypocrisy where they refuse to do business over Georgia, yet not only worked with China to develop the film (including censorships), but also went as far as to specifically cooperate with various departments of the Xijiping province that held authority over concentration camps. The lead actress for the film even sang praises for the Communist Party during the latter's crackdowns on Democracy demonstrators in Hong Kong during filming.
