Fauci is the highest-paid U.S. bureaucrat and has 55 years worth of experience in the federal government. When he retires, he will receive more than $350,000 per year as part of his retirement packages.

Response to Pledge
Within a week of the Pledge's proposal, U.S. Representative from Arizona Paul Gosar introduced H. CON. RES. 71 after signing the pledge which resolves:
{{Quotebox|
(1) Congress should issue a subpoena to Dr. Anthony Fauci with the intent of investigating—
(A) the extent of any corrupt activities to which he may be a party with respect to the COVID–19 pandemic; and
(B) the deception, misinformation, and numerous lies reported to Congress and the American People throughout the COVID–19 pandemic; and
(2) the Speaker of the House of Representatives should reinstate the Holman Rule and provide expeditious consideration of legislation that reduces the salary of the Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and Chief Medical Advisor to the President (Dr. Anthony Fauci) to $0.00.

While unlikely that the current leftist influenced House of representatives will proceed any further in holding Anthony Fauci accountable, this development is an encouraging sign. If a majority of conservative congressman are elected in 2022, Fauci will probably be held accountable because of the efforts of those who signed this pledge.<ref>https://notthebee.com/article/rememeber-the-michael-knowles-pledge-congressional-candidates-signed-to-investigate-fauci-well-now-it-has-been-introduced-in-congress Remember The Michael Knowles Pledge To Investigate Fauci That Congressional Candidates Signed?
