For instance, progressive leader [[Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez]] compared strict border policies in the [[Trump]] era to the Shoah, a remark condemned by the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.<ref>Steinbuch, Yaron (June 24, 2019). Islamist sympathizer and antisemitic Democratic congresswoman [[Ilhan Omar]] has attacked Jewish colleagues in her own party and claimed her own sufferings be of a greater extent than that of Holocaust survivor descendants.<ref>O'Neil, Tyler (June 30, 2021).
