:Speaking from personal experience, I can safely say that it's not because it's accepted that it exists. I grew up very conservative, and I always had issues with homosexuality. Of course, because I thought it was wrong I hated myself for looking at other males. Since that time I've found myself, and am a much better person. I'm gay and I went to a co-ed public school system. As far as I know, I was always gay. From my earliest memories I was drawn more to males than females, and not only in a sexual way. Friend-wise, sports-wise, etc. I find the idea of a school environment somehow influencing a person's sexual orientation simply laughable. We don't know what causes a person to be straight or gay, but I guarantee you that it isn't school.--[[User:Patthew|Patthew]] 12:45, 12 June 2007
