Here's the problem with [[war]] and the danger once you set the killing in motion: [[people]] get drunk with blood. We saw it from 1941-1944-45, 1861-1865, in Vietnam and Afghanistan and elsewhere. It's why wars are so difficult to stop.
I monitor a lot of Russian media, and even people and analysists who for the first 18 mos. to 2 yrs seemed levelheaded and rational ("we got a job to do", etc) now seem much angrier and emotional.
