With continuing scientific research, the theory of evolution and its presuppositions have been thoroughly refuted. Take for example the [[arguments for a recent creation]], which show that the Earth and universe could not possibly have evolved over millions of years. Creationists tend to believe that with continuing scientific research, the theory of evolution and its presuppositions have been thoroughly refuted. Take for example the [[arguments for a recent creation]], which show that the Earth and universe could not possibly have evolved over millions of years. However, Evolutionism and the "scientific" theory of evolution continue to be popular in culture. In reality, the theory of evolution is not refuted in scientific researched. Instead, using the Scientific Method, scientists are able to solidify the specificity of the theory to make it closer to perfect with each new finding. Creationists tend to use this argument as a way to pull the views towards them and away from provable fact. The leading idea in the scientific community is one of a universe aged billions of years old, an earth aging around 4 billion years old, and evolution over 2 billion years bringing life to its current state today.
