In 1925 the [[American Civil Liberties Union]] challenged a [[Tennessee]] law that forbade teaching that man had evolved (it didn't otherwise forbid teaching evolution), in what became known as the [[Scopes Trial]].
The ACLU lawyer, [[Clarence Darrow]], argued that it was wrong to only teach one view of origins.<ref>[http://new.jesuscreated.org/index.html Jesus Create Ministries, Home page].</ref>
