==== David Bolhuis ====
David Bolhuis, a teacher from Hudsonville, [[Michigan]] was told that the Michigan Science Teachers' Association had unanimously selected him as the High School Teacher of the Year.
However, the [[American Civil Liberties Union]] protested, as Bolhuis had been "teaching about" both creation and evolution.
Subsequent media pressure resulted in the decision to not give Bolhuis the award.<ref>Bergman, 1984, pp.25 & 26.</ref>
