I am a Christian and have recently began questioning my religion. Is this view floored? If one takes the hypothetical view that Religion is a man made then one would place the date of writing to about 2000 years ago. We are aware that at that time earth lacked a legal system and therefore a way to control society. This is where religion could take a role. Christianity has it's ten commandments. These are generally seen as basic rules of our society. Instead of simply going to jail for rebelling against society (as one would today) one would be damned to all eternity in hell. This thesis correctly gives a solid reason to why religion would've been created. Please tell me why am I wrong as my life is pointless if this is correct.
