Stein attempts to link Darwinism and the Holocaust, ostensibly because "social Darwinism," a perversion of science by racists and eugenisicts,laid the groundwork for some of Hitler's racist theories. Of course, this guilt by association smear is no more than base polemic: by the same logic, Martin Luther, who called for the genocide of the Jews in the 1500s, is equally if not more culpable<ref>Luther, ''on the Jews and their Lies"</ref>. Of course both linkages are absurd.

Stein links Darwinism to the Holocaust, which was perpetrated in part by eugenicists inspired by Darwin's [[theory of evolution]].  "[[Charles Darwin]]'s evolutionary theory was quickly applied to human beings and social structure.
