Ole Earth Creationists generally hold views which are more in keeping with those which are held by modern science. For example believers in the [[Gap theory]] maintain that there was a gap of millions or billions or years between Gen 1:1 and Gen 1:2. Believers in [[Progressive Creationism]] or "day age" believe that each "day" of creation lasted a thousand years or more. Believers in [[Theistic Evolution]] and [[Intelligent Design]] go even further, perhaps to far, in marrying Christian beliefs to science.
