| + | Oh, and I'm a [[liberal]]. Please don't hold it against me. I believe in most of the bullet points in the lead of that article, with four exceptions: |
| | + | #I don't believe in gun control. |
| | + | #I believe affirmative action, especially in college applications, should be determined by economic level instead of ethnicity. |
| | + | #I don't consider Richard Dawkins a professor. |
| | + | #And although I'd never admit this in public...I think the surge is working, but needs more time. Petraeus is a genius, give him a chance. |
| | + | |
| | + | I'd love to invade Burma and reinstall rightful president [[Aung San Suu Kyi]], but that's an isolated case rather than a worldview of mine. By the way, and this goes to Conservapedians overall: Thank you for making the right choice and having an article titled [[Burma]] instead of [[Myanmar]]. [[Wikipedia]], which I also edit, still has regular debates about that despite the clear correct choice. |

| | + | Mostly, I'm tired of all the bickering and infighting in America. Especially from [[Hillary Clinton]], a political hack that I severely dislike. I personally believe that her husband started the most recent wave of divisive politics, not George W. Bush. But yeah, I wish we'd work on what we agree on rather than what we disagree on. For example, I disagree with [[Pat Robertson]] on things like gay marriage and prayer in schools. But that doesn't mean I can't respect him for his support of Bono's Make Poverty History campaign and Al Gore's Alliance for Climate Protection. I believe I should be able to praise the foreign policies of Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush and criticize their domestic agendas without Bill-ary attacking me. |
| | + | |
| | + | That's why I'm a [[Barack Obama]] supporter. I want someone who will have a reasonable debate with [[John McCain]] (who, despite Hillary's repeated protestations, is nothing like Bush and is an honorable man) about the issues rather than snipe at him for stupid little things. I also don't think the 2008 Democratic race is about race versus gender. To me, it's a generational war within the Democratic Party. My generation is trying to take over the reins from a generation that's still fighting the Vietnam War. I don't want the next 7 months to be a war over how much money McCain gets from lobbyists or whether or not Obama loves America enough. Those won't provide me with healthcare or make Iraq a safer place. |
| | + | |
| | + | Oh, and if Hillary's slash-and-burn negativity actually convinces superdelegates to vote for her even though Obama's won more states, delegates and votes? I'll quit the party and campaign for McCain. |
| | + | |
| | + | So yeah, those're my biases. I'm a liberal, I hate Hillary, I like Obama, and I'm a big U2 fan. Although I don't think that last one should be much of a problem. :D |
