Christopher, you are sadly mistaken. "Michelangelo" is the correct spelling. Please don't question me. I know these things. Michelangelo is an ''Italian'' name. The vowel combination "ae" does not even exist in the Italian Language! (Except in very rare cases...)  "Michael" is the English spelling of the Italian name "Michele"... which are both spelled and pronounced differently. Thus, not only is "Michelangelo" the correct spelling, but "Mee-keh-LAHN-jeh-loh" is the correct pronounciation.
