:::::: It most definitely would include people who would not be 'relevant', but it's a start.  We must start to quantify these numbers ''somehow'', as otherwise it's just an assertion - and I know you don't want your theory based on an assertion.  But over a half a million is a good start.  Certainly I imagine there's tens of thousand of those who would fit our profile and are, or were professional actresses.  Certainly, we can see that there's at the very least hundreds of touring young women in the rock and pop business in the 'Western' world.  Next I hope to quantify jazz singers, classical musicians, circus performers and Broadway show-style performers.    [[User:EngelUmpocker|EngelUmpocker]] 16:57, 24 May 2008 (EDT)

REPLY TO MURRAY AND ENGEL:  Murray, Natasha St-Pier from your list was one of the two I sampled who did not seem to be touring.  The other one (whose name escapes me) is touring but canceled a big concert, which could mean anything.  Engel, you can start with whatever list you like but the list of all actresses has far more irrelevant names than relevant ones.  We could also start with the New York City phone book, I suppose!  (Please don't be offended by that humor.)

An intriguing possibility that I toss out for consideration by Murray and Engel, to which I don't yet know the answer, is whether we could use a ranking of the the most successful female singers and then note the frequency of breast cancer as a function of rank.  If 2 out of the top 20 developed breast cancer at a young age, wouldn't that be alarming?  That approach presents a good intellectual challenge.--[[User:Aschlafly|Aschlafly]] 20:26, 24 May 2008 (EDT)
