Art and culture also flourished in some areas of China during this period. Porcelain produced during this period (the namesake and model for later Ming vases) were of high quality and are still highly valued today. Bronze work also reached a great technological height during this period, producing some of the finest practical and ornamental bronzes of ancient China.
