The Flintstones is a cartoon franchise started in 1960 featuring a "modern stone age family" living in a "Town of Bedrock" according to the theme song. There was a Flintstones animated TV series from 1960 to 1966 and a movie in 1994 and many spin off series and video games. The series features a suburban family headed by Fred Flintstone.  In keeping with [[Bible|Biblical]] teachings, dinosaurs are featured as domestic animals assisting in household chores, as pets (including the Flintstone's "Dino"), and as beasts of burden.
