Which is one of the points of this debate. The difference being the Declaration of Independence is one of the founding documents of the USA along with the Constitution and Bill of Rights. It affirms inalienable rights to individuals and limits governmental powers. The Declaration of Interdependence doesn't affirm any inalienable rights nor does it limit the power of the state over the individual. In fact it only mentions the collective of humanity as if it were a single element of nature. It seems to have more of a concern about humanities impact on nature and the ecological integrity  of the Earth. In contrast with the Declaration of Independence it mandates the totalitarian role of government to control and regulate everything. Its language is that of collectivism and whose goal is nothing short of a worldwide socialist order.
